Job description The Security Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of high-value freight. This role involves overseeing and managing security operations, coordinating security escorts, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security protocols to protect valuable goods during transit. You will work closely with internal teams and external security partners to ensure the highest standards of safety and risk management are maintained. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Responsible to protects the integrity of high value products being shipped by rigorously applying client’s processes • Liaise with local law enforcement, security contractors, and external partners to address security concerns and enhance the security of transport operations • Continuously monitor the security of high-value freight during transit using surveillance systems, GPS tracking, and other tools, ensuring timely detection of any irregularities. • Carries out all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones of the Security Operations process. (Departure, arrival, PODs, etc.) while utilizing Mcleod and other systems • Assures that all paperwork including, but not limited to temperature downloads, pictures, and POD are downloaded to the load documents and the customer to finish the load for billing • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for each shipment, identifying potential security threat and vulnerabilities along the transport route • Handles escalations of suspicious activity regarding customer freight • Responsible for updating customer portals based on customer requirements NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Attends all required training and staff meetings • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards customers, visitors, and co-workers • Adheres to all policies and procedures of Vectura Security Group • Performs other duties as assigned Working conditions : Working schedule: 1 person to work 1st shift (0700-1530cst) Thurs – Mon 1 person to work 2nd shift (1500-2330 cst) Mon – Fri 1 person to work 2nd shift (1500-2330 cst) Thurs – Mon 1 person to work 3rd shift (2300-0730 cst) Mon – Fri 1 person to work 3rd shift (2300-0730 cst) Thurs – Mon Office mode of work 10+ business days of paid time off Team building and corporate events Equipment provided A supportive team Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • Upper-intermediate English level is a MUST • Three plus years in security and compliance background and/or customer service • Three plus years of logistics experience • Knowledge of TSA and GDP practices preferred • Ability to multitask under pressure • Advanced knowledge of the supply chain industry, including regulations and customer requirements • Clear and confident communication both verbal and written • Extreme detail-orientation • Experience with conflict resolution • Demonstrates emotional intelligence • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams • Analytical approach to problem solving • Personality: Self-confident, self-motivated, extroverted, flexible, and able to work independently in a team-oriented environment. • Ability to understand and communicate drivers’ temperature requirements, mileage, and hours of service during transit Show more Show less
