Position : Senior Backend Architect Location : Remote (overlap until ~1:00 PM ET / 11:30 AM MT) Compensation : Competitive salary + potential equity/bonus Tech Stack Backend Languages : TypeScript (Node.js), Python AWS Services : API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS MySQL, etc. AI & Data : LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, OpenAI API, Anthropic API, Pinecone, etc. Testing : Vitest, Pytest DevOps : AWS CDK, Infrastructure as Code Key Responsibilities Design and implement event-driven microservices on AWS. Enforce strong TDD and deployment practices, focusing on security, performance, and reliability. Collaborate with front-end and AI teams to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality. Mentor engineers on best practices, architecture decisions, and emerging trends. Integrate with AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic) and vector DB (Pinecone) for intelligent data workflows. Qualifications 8+ years of backend engineering experience; 4+ in a lead/architect role. Expertise in TypeScript, Python, and AWS serverless architectures. Familiarity with data storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL) and event-driven designs. Excellent communication skills in English.
