The Senior Software Development Manager leads engineering teams and drives the delivery of high-quality, complex projects. He combines exceptional leadership skills with deep technical expertise to shape the way we build and deliver software. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead and inspire our engineering teams, drive agile transformations, and deliver complex, high-impact projects. This role requires a balance of strong technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a strategic mindset to create and sustain modern, high-performing software development practices. You will oversee cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with our organizational goals while championing best-in-class engineering and delivery standards. Key Responsibilities Leadership and People Management Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Drive agile ways of working, ensuring teams deliver value iteratively and adapt to changing priorities. Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to solve complex problems independently. Partner with Product, QA, and Operations to align engineering efforts with business goals and roadmaps. Agile and Transformation Champion agile principles and practices across teams, driving continuous improvement in processes and outcomes. Lead organizational transformation efforts to modernize delivery and ensure alignment with industry best practices. Identify and resolve systemic challenges within workflows to enhance productivity and quality. Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and oversight on software architecture, design, and implementation, with a strong emphasis on Java engineering. Drive adoption of solid engineering practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and comprehensive code reviews. Ensure teams leverage modern architectural patterns, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions. Project Delivery Manage end-to-end delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Mitigate risks and dependencies while maintaining high visibility and accountability for deliverables. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and balance technical investments with business objectives. Qualifications Leadership and Management Proven track record in leading and managing software engineering teams of 10+ members across multiple projects. Strong experience in driving organizational change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Agile and Transformation Deep understanding of agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and ability to scale agile practices across teams. Experience in driving transformation initiatives to modernize engineering and delivery practices. Engineering and Delivery Expertise in Java programming and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot). Strong understanding of solid engineering practices and the ability to advocate for them across teams. Extensive experience delivering complex, high-scale projects in fast-paced environments. Desirable Skills Cloud, DevOps, and Modern Architecture Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including microservices and cloud-native patterns. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
