We are looking for a Senior Embedded SW Engineer to join a start-up developing ultra-efficient neuromorphic processors designed for low-power, fast pattern recognition, using SNNs. They can offer hybrid working from their site in Delft . As a Senior Embedded SW Engineer your responsibilities will include: Design, implement, test, & maintain embedded software components, such as device drivers or similarly complex systems. Debug & resolve intricate issues in embedded systems, conducting root cause analyses using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, & hardware debuggers. Plan software development activities by breaking down tasks, estimating effort, & ensuring timely delivery with high-quality standards. Provide strategic input on development plans, identify risks, & address technical gaps early in the process. Champion best engineering practices while demonstrating technical expertise in your projects. Develop requirements for embedded software at varying levels of complexity. Create & maintain test programs & scripts for embedded systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during requirements gathering & design activities. Propose enhancements to development processes & strategies. As a Senior Embedded SW Engineer your skills will include: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar domain 3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C Familiarity with assembly language for RISC architectures, especially RISC-V Experience with Python programming & version control tools like Git & GitLab Hands-on experience in HIL testing for embedded targets & working with hardware debuggers. Proficiency with requirements management tools. Nice to have: Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, & Neural Networks. Experience in mixed-signal integrated circuit development.
