The Job Holder will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and virtual application environments within and towards Global Solutions and all OMV Business Divisions. This role requires a deep understanding of virtualization technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members Responsibilities: Global responsibility for strategic and operational decisions on the AVD / Citrix services throughout the entire lifecycle. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of virtual desktops and applications with other IT systems and services. Designs, implements, and manages virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and virtual application solutions using technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and others. Liaises with Azure architects to ensure a consistent service architecture. Develops and maintains detailed documentation of the VDI and virtual application environments, including architecture diagrams, configuration settings, and operational procedures. Performs regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure the reliability and scalability of virtual environments. Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues related to virtual desktops and applications, providing expert-level support to end-users and IT staff. Provides Lifecycle and Release Management for all technical solutions related to virtual desktops and applications. Stays up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in virtualization technologies, recommending and implementing improvements as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree: IT. Relevant professional experience: > 7 years Advanced knowledge of VDI technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp, and Microsoft RDS. Advanced knowledge of virtualization concepts and technologies, including hypervisors (e.g., VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V), storage, networking, and security. Advanced knowledge about Microsoft Entra ID /Active Directory, DHCP, Fileshare, Endpoint Configuration Manager, FSLogix, MSIX/APP Attach Good service management skills Excellent Knowledge of Azure Automation Tools. Good understanding of Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices applied to the workplace services. Excellent Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch, vbscript) Excellent English skills Come and work with us! Our benefits will work for you!
