Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as a Site Manager for Earthworks at FCC Construcción Romania. The role is located in the western part of Romania. The Site Manager for Earthworks will be responsible for overseeing and managing all earthworks construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety requirements. They will also supervise and coordinate with subcontractors, monitor project progress, and ensure timely completion of construction activities. Responsibilities: • Coordinates, organizes and is responsible for the execution of construction works on the project site in which he is involved; • Responsible for the technical and economic analysis and planning of the works. • Responsible for the selection of machinery and subcontractors. • Responsible for the follow-up, coordination, daily and monthly control of works and subcontractors, in his area of expertise. • Monitors the technical planning and the adequacy of the necessary means to meet the objectives of the deadlines. • Responsible for the control of measurements executed and works in progress. • Responsible for the preparation of value reports, declarations of executed production and certificates. • Identifying the causes of complaints due to the differences between the employer’s data in the contract and what was actually executed. • Results orientation, teamwork and flexibility will be appreciated. Qualifications Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in roads/ railways construction- 5 years minimum; Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques and construction legislation; Excellent understanding of construction plans, specifications, and safety regulations; Ability to effectively manage and supervise subcontractors and construction teams; Strong organizational and project management skills; Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Professional certifications in construction management are a plus; Good knowledge of PC operation (MS Office, Internet, etc.); English language at least intermediate level written and spoken; Capacity for organization and coordination, synthesis and analysis; Responsible, flexible, proactive and innovative person; Very good communication and relationship skills; Attention to details; Place of work – in the western Romania. • Construction company that operates internationally, a reputable and respected brand in its field of activity, with big&beautiful portfolio, diverse and ambitious projects. • You will be part of a multicultural team with a high level of qualification, professional colleagues, with intelligence and top technical skills.
