About The Role Your position in the organization is in the Nuclear Safety team of Engineering & Projects (E&P) business area, located in Espoo, Finland. The Nuclear Safety team has a wide range of different competencies which are utilized in supporting safe and efficient operations of the Loviisa nuclear power plant, our co-owned nuclear units, external nuclear customers, the development of new nuclear and nuclear R&D activities in Fortum. As a Summer Trainee, Nuclear Safety you’ll be involved in a variety of projects and assignments for both Loviisa nuclear power plant and external customers. You’ll get to work on functional design, safety requirements, safety and seismic classification, safety analyses and studies/reports, and emergency and abnormal operating procedures. We hope that you apply for the position if you are: Pursuing a degree in Master of science of Technology. Studies in energy technology, power plant technology, mechanical, or nuclear engineering are in advantage. Fluent in written and spoken English and Finnish. Internal Loviisa related assignments are mostly done in Finnish, while with the external customers the working language is English. Organized and meticulous, and you do not shy away from routine tasks.
