About The Role The Engineering & Technology -department (E&T) takes responsibility for the engineering of all solar and wind projects of Fortum and acts as the technical centre of excellence supporting project development, construction, and operations. E&T also is responsible for IT and PMO (Project Management Office) functions for Wind & Solar business. As a Wind & Solar Analyst summer trainee, you will support and collaborate with your E&T colleagues in developing IT function further. The work tasks will vary and can include, for example, exploring and identifying applications for new digital technologies (like AI) in Wind & Solar business, updating digital road map and developing tools and ways of working for managing and optimizing software portfolio. The position is based at the Fortum HQ in Espoo, and you will be reporting to the Head of IT and PMO. About You You are passionate about renewable energy and the energy transition. You are in the final stage of your masterโ€™s degree in information sciences, business administration, or other relevant field. You have a high curiosity towards the energy industry and especially renewables. Experience with wind and/or solar is highly advantageous. You are an open-minded and proactive person with the ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. You have an eye for detail while still keeping the big picture in mind. You have a drive to develop ways of working and bring new ideas to the table. You enjoy working in a dynamic, multi-cultural working environment. Fluency in the working language English is critical, additional language skills are highly valued (especially Finnish, but also Swedish, and Norwegian).
