Are you prepared to take the helm in shaping cost management within our PMO services? We are in search of a dynamic professional to lead the development and maintenance of our Capex budget management practices. As the Budget Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting project teams—gathering insights, crafting various financial scenarios, and providing expert guidance to facilitate successful project outcomes. By collaborating closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that budget and cost management practices are seamlessly integrated and aligned with overarching project objectives. The Project Management Office is a part of our Infrastructure, Water, and Environment division, encompassing all classic engineering disciplines within construction and infrastructure. We offer guidance throughout the entire process—from planning and detailed design to procurement, supervision, construction management, and operations and maintenance—ensuring our clients receive the right competencies and expertise for any project. We are looking for a new colleague in the Copenhagen area, where you will be based in our two offices in Ørestad and Birkerød. At all locations, we have assembled our talented experts into multidisciplinary teams. About The Position We offer a position as Budget Manager in an exciting and innovative company. This role will involve a diverse range of tasks, encompassing both operational and developmental responsibilities. Your primary responsibilities will include: Leading the development and maintenance of Cost Management as an integral component of PMO services. Playing a pivotal role in driving the digitalization of cost management and related PMO knowledge areas. Acting as the Budget Manager for specific projects, supporting project teams by gathering inputs, compiling diverse financial scenarios, and providing guidance during project development. Bridging between the technical disciplines and and project management, internally as well as externally towards the client Collaborating closely with Project Managers and project teams to ensure that cost management practices are implemented and aligned with overall project goals. Serving as the Product Owner for the organization’s Cost Estimation/Budget Tool and Earned Value Management Tool, which are developed and maintained in Power BI. About You We expect you to approach your work proactively and to appreciate a dynamic workday filled with a variety of tasks, people, and areas of expertise. Additionally, we anticipate that you meet the following qualifications: Has a financial education or an education in engineering, as well as solid experience with commercial tasks. Can write and understand Danish and English. Formal education in a recognized Project Management Framework (e.g., PMI, IPMA, or PRINCE2). A deep understanding of project budgeting, cost estimation, and scenario planning throughout the project development phases. Proficiency in cost management practices and financial forecasting. Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and coordination. Extensive expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI. A solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and DAX for Power BI. While not a requirement, experience with Power Automate and Power Apps is preferred.
