Information about the position Vinted’s Finance team is in charge of producing transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth. To keep up with the rapid advancement and increasing complexity of our financial operations, the finance department is looking for a new member. We are looking for a Tax accountant, who would be helping to ensure tax compliance for our companies in Poland, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Lithuania, France, US and Canada. In this position, you’ll Assist in gathering, analysing, and summarising information on a monthly and quarterly basis to be provided to external consultants for foreign VAT/GST and US Sales Tax return preparation Communicate with the external consultants regarding the periodical VAT/GST and US Sales Tax compliance (data collection and provision, follow-up on the return submission, and payment/refund) Work with our tax engine (Thomson Reuters), accounting software (NetSuite), and accounting reconciliation software (Blackline) to ensure indirect tax compliance of all foreign group companies Assist in managing VAT/GST and US Sales Tax related balance sheet accounts on our GL, including preparation of month-close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations Maintain the foreign indirect tax calendar/task matrix for all foreign compliance duties and deadlines Assist with indirect tax registrations in the relevant tax jurisdictions Proactively monitor the know-how of the internal accounting team, collect the practical VAT cases for VAT guideline preparation Help with other accounting routines and financial management tasks About You Higher degree in accounting or equivalent Have at least 2 years’ experience in accounting or tax area Knowledge of tax treatment according to tax laws (VAT, corporate income tax) Advanced skills with MS Excel (Advantage: Knowledge of Excel VBA) Attention to detail Curious about working in a dynamic environment Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English Advantage: Knowledge of EU VAT or US sales tax Work perks The opportunity to benefit from our share options programme 25 working days of holiday Newest MacBook models Free access to an office gym Mental and emotional health support through the Mindletic app Home office support: we provide IT workstation equipment and a personal budget of up to €540 for home workplace furniture Private health insurance On-site canteen serving delicious homemade food at discount prices Frequent team-building events A personal monthly budget for shopping on Vinted The opportunity to spend up to 90 days per year – 21 of which can be spent working outside of the EU – on workation A dog-friendly office Working at Vinted Individual Learning Budget We invest in your professional growth!
