Grand Circle Corporation (Overseas Adventure Travel) is currently seeking Trip Experience Leaders/Tour Guides to lead land tours for The Baltic Capitals in 2025. We’re the largest U.S. direct marketer of international travel, adventure and discovery for North Americans aged 50 and above and have served over 1 million travelers since 1958. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a small group of senior American travelers (typically no more than 16) on a 15- or 20-day journey, following the provided itinerary. Destinations include Poland (Krakow, Warsaw), Lithuania (Vilnius, Klaipeda), Latvia (Riga), Estonia (Tallinn), and Finland (Helsinki). Travel with the group from point to point as specified in the itinerary (primarily by coach, as well as by air and sea). Oversee routing and timing for each day, communicate with drivers, assist with hotel functions and airport check-ins, coordinate baggage handling, provide commentary on the areas visited, plan and schedule meals and sightseeing stops not specified in the itinerary, and always ensure the wellbeing and enjoyment of travelers. Contact travelers prior to the trip through pre-trip emails and calls. Engage travelers during the journey with informative talks on topics such as history, culture, daily life, local issues, and key highlights of the cities and countries visited. Personalize their experiences by offering free-time activities and organizing guided tours and discovery walks to unique, less-explored locations. Manage daily operations , including reconfirming transportation and activities, collaborating with local guides, restaurants, and vendors, coordinating medical assistance for emergencies, addressing any additional concerns or requests that may arise. WHAT WE REQUIRE Exceptional People Skills: Ability to connect with travelers, create a welcoming atmosphere, and deliver a memorable experience. Passion for the Region: Enthusiasm for the people, cultures, and traditions of the area. IMPORTANT : Must be a local of the regions we travel to. Excellent command of English and ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Deep knowledge of the region’s history and culture. Willingness to share personal experiences and discuss sensitive topics. Eagerness to learn, explore new experiences, and adjust effectively in various situations. Strong ability to address and resolve issues during trips to ensure a smooth experience for travelers. Flexible, creative, self-reliant, with strong organizational skills. Basic knowledge of Excel for submitting end-of-trip reports and paperwork. Prior experience working with American travelers, including guiding or leading groups. Attentive to travelers’ needs, with a focus on exceeding expectations. Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
