VARO Energy has a large and expanding asset base. The group owns a refinery in Switzerland, a majority share of a refinery in Germany, more than 50 (bio)fuels storage facilities throughout Switzerland, Germany, France and the Benelux and has the logistical expertise and infrastructure to transport products from the refineries and the terminals to its customers. THE POSITION As a Trade Support Officer you will be joining the Biomethane Desk. Here, you will provide essential operational and administrative support to the Biomethane and Bio-LNG trader and portfolio manager. Your role will be integral to ensuring seamless trading execution, compliance and financial reporting within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your Key Responsibilities Consult daily with traders and portfolio manager about contract positions; Manage inventory and ensure delivery control; Send nominations to suppliers and other stakeholders; Process and approve invoices; Support activities to ensure bio-compliance; Report deviations to the bio and trading teams in case of issues; Ensure timely and accurate processing of all activities in relevant systems; Prepare and support financial reporting activities; Interact with the Trade, Back Office, Risk and Compliance teams, suppliers and logistic service providers. YOUR PROFILE Completed education in Commercial, Logistics or Controlling; Experience working with ERP, EPRM and/or TRS systems; Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills Fluency in English, knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus; Ability to work in a structured and detail-oriented manner; Experience in the energy sector or a related field is an advantage; Available for a minimum of 32 hours per week, including at least 3 days per week in the Rotterdam office.
