We prioritize innovation, quality, and exceeding client expectations to provide a truly exceptional yacht experience. Role Description We are urgently hiring a Yacht Designer! This is a full-time-on site role at Akoni Design Studio in Athens. The Yacht Designer will be responsible for tasks such as visual design, design thinking, product design, and final construction drawings to create innovative and user-centric boat accessories designs. The candidate will be responsible to follow the prototype/project to the construction. Responsibilities: · Creation of drawings and virtual models, developing prototypes and designs for accessories of boats/yachts, integrating form, function, technology and materials. · Evaluation of the design practicality and finalization of the manufacturing specifications. · Implementation of 3D modelling and 2D Design at all stages from the conceptual design to the final production detailed drawings. · Supervising the production. · Development of design-related technical solutions and details according to requirements. · Comprehension and adaptability to the existing quality standards and past product designs. · Monitor progress and compile reports in project status. · Communication and liaison with external parties & clients. Requirements and skills: · Proven 1-3 years work experience in Boat industry as a modeler/product designer or similar role. · Bachelor’s degree in commercial and industrial design, product design,marine engineering, engineering or naval architecture; Master’s considered a plus. · Excellent knowledge & professional mastery of Rhinoceros program. Grasshopper is considered a plus. · Skills in drafting, including knowledge of computer-aided drafting (CAD) software programs. · Proficiency in AutoCAD & Photoshop. · Can –do mentality, proactive, team player and responsible for workflow and deadlines. · Proficient knowledge of English. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · The ability to solve problems related to product design while complying with the needs of clients. · Driving license , flexibility to commute in order to contact with clients.
