Civil Engineer
– Renewable Energy (Solar)
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join a large-scale solar energy project for our client in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of solar energy infrastructure, ensuring stability, compliance, and efficiency in execution.
The role requires a professional who can support the design, planning, and construction of civil works for large-scale solar energy projects, ensuring that all activities comply with safety regulations, construction codes, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and oversee civil engineering aspects of solar energy projects, including site preparation, foundations, and structural elements.
Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate project conditions.
Ensure compliance with local and international construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
Supervise construction activities, ensuring quality control, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
Perform structural analysis and risk assessments for solar panel mounting systems.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and construction plans.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and best practices in solar energy infrastructure.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in civil engineering within the renewable energy, specifically solar sector.
Strong knowledge of structural design, geotechnical engineering, and foundation analysis.
Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000 or similar.
Experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in the energy sector.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to travel for site visits and inspections.
