Director of the Correctional Service

The position as director of the correctional facility is available for occupation from 1 July 2025. The Ministry of Justice is looking for a director of the correctional facility, who must be at the head of the correctional facility with the greatest drive and skill. The Probation Service is part of the Ministry of Justice's group and manages a central task in the chain of criminal proceedings; to carry out punishment. The director must be at the forefront of the continued modernization of the correctional facility by continuing to develop an efficient correctional facility with a high-quality task solution that supports the government's legal policy goals and where the safety and well-being of the employees are paramount. In addition, the director must cooperate closely with the other authorities in the criminal case chain. About you The Director of Correctional Services is expected to be a visible leader, to have strategic vision, deep organizational understanding and execution power, to have great integrity, to be able to create friendships and good relationships, to be able to advise and support the political level and to have strong abilities for both internal and external communication. In addition, it is emphasized that you have solid management experience at a high level from a politically led organization, experience with and results of organizational development, insight into and understanding of the work of the correctional service and financial understanding. Salary and terms of employment The position is a civil servant position placed in salary range 40, where the annual salary is currently DKK 894,534 at the current level. Attached to the position is a top manager allowance of DKK 200,911.76 at the current level. In addition, negotiations will be held on a personal allowance and term allowance.
