Acute and intensive psychiatry:
PAM has the receiver function for all acute admissions. Interdisciplinary work is carried out at a high professional level, where patients are received, assessed, treated, discharged or forwarded to the other wards.
We also receive children and young people in acute crisis.
PAM consists of 12 emergency beds, of which 8 function as open emergency room beds and the other 4 as a shielded unit.
The inquiries may be due to depression, mania, acute crisis, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, anxiety and the like. Everyone who turns to PAM experiences being in an acute and unmanageable situation for the individual and their family.
Annually, we have approx. 6,000 inquiries and has close contact with internal and external partners.
As an employee of PAM, you must be able to function both in the high-screen unit and in reception. There will of course be an introduction to both parts.
All employees in PAM are part of the crisis and disaster preparedness in Region Zealand.

About Psychiatry
Psychiatry Region Zealand is a treatment psychiatry that consists of a number of inpatient units and outpatient units around the region. We take care of psychiatric evaluation and treatment as well as the emergency duty in Region Zealand.
We develop and convey a wide range of psychiatric services to the region's citizens, and we have an anonymous counseling service which is open to anyone who needs knowledge or advice about mental illness. We conduct extensive research with the involvement of both patients and relatives. We see it as an important task to train the employees of the future, so we also undertake a large training task.
