Job Description
The Operations and Maintenance Unit is looking for a trained furniture upholsterer for a team of 4 employees who take good care of the Parliament's furniture. You will be part of a completely unique workplace with great attention, where you help to ensure high quality and thus a good environment for the house's many different users. Your primary tasks Your task will primarily be upholstering and refurbishing the Parliament's furniture, which is a mix of traditional and industrial furniture, and it is therefore an advantage if you have experience with traditional work. In addition, your and the team's tasks also include sewing, setting up and cleaning curtains as well as laying and cleaning carpets. The team includes an apprentice, who you also help to ensure good training. Your workplace You will work closely with the other teams in the Operations and Maintenance Unit. The unit consists of 41 employees divided into seven teams, who handle operational and maintenance tasks in connection with the daily operations of the Folketing. Your profile You are a trained furniture upholsterer, and you must be able to show your journeyman certificate. You have an eye for detail and quality, and have a friendly, service-minded and solution-oriented attitude towards colleagues and business partners. You are flexible both with regard to working hours and tasks. You thrive in a varied and exciting everyday life, where holistic thinking, service, flexibility and self-management are natural values in relation to your task solving. Salary and terms of employment Employment is per 1 June 2025. The position is a full-time position and you will be employed in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The starting salary is DKK 29,109.42 per month and the final salary is DKK 31,509.17 per month. Salary placement will take place after a concrete assessment seen in relation to experience from previous jobs. On top of the basic salary, you get a parliamentary allowance of DKK 2,067.25 per month. You have flexible hours during working hours between 07 – 16.00 on weekdays, in addition there may be shifts in connection with major events in the Folketinget. It is a prerequisite for employment that you can be security approved. The security clearance must be maintained throughout your employment.
