Generalist with an interest in preparedness and cyber security in the energy sector

Then the job as a Generalist in the Emergency Center might be something for you! About the job You will be associated with the emergency response centre, which develops and manages emergency preparedness in the energy sectors, including the decentralized cyber and information security unit (DCIS Energy), which i.a. must support coordination in the cyber area and strengthen security of supply. In particular, you will have to support the unit with knowledge of the strategic work with cyber and information security in the energy sectors and across the central administration. In addition, you will be involved in the unit's other tasks as needed. It may be in relation to supervision of the sector's companies and taking care of sectoral responsibility in the field of emergency preparedness for the energy sectors in Denmark, including implementation of new emergency legislation. You will be given independent tasks in close cooperation with colleagues in the unit. Your primary tasks will be to: participate in the implementation of the sector strategy for cyber and information security for the energy sector participate in working groups on the implementation of the strategy's initiatives participate in national and international forums regarding cyber security in the energy sectors prepare guidance material for the sector regarding preparedness and cyber preparedness in collaboration with the sector and relevant authorities. In addition, you will work with: Writing notes, instructions and recommendations for the management and the department about the strategic work of strengthening preparedness. Analyzes of initiative proposals and other measures in relation to their effect on the sector. Representation of the Danish Energy Agency in EU cooperation and Nordic cooperation. Representation of the Danish Energy Agency in various inter-ministerial working and coordination groups. About you There can be several entrances to the job and your educational background can therefore be broad. We imagine that you have a higher education and perhaps a few years of experience working within critical societal functions as well as a knowledge of the complexities of the energy sectors. You are a generalist and may have experience of working in an agency or department and thrive in a politically controlled organization. It is a prerequisite for employment that you can be security approved for SECRET and can maintain this throughout the employment. You will be employed in the emergency unit, which must ensure and develop the framework for preparedness and resilience for the electricity, gas, oil, district heating, district cooling and hydrogen sectors, so that there is electricity in the switch, gas in the pipes and oil products in the tanks for the benefit of citizens and businesses. In the Emergency Center we work to maintain and continue the most important parts of society's energy supply in crisis situations. The board is the emergency sector authority in the energy area and handles the overall, coordinating and regulatory emergency tasks in the energy sectors. We are a professionally broadly composed unit that emphasizes combining several different skills and learning from each other.
