Job Description
Do you want to contribute to the water sector being financially equipped to deliver clean drinking water and deal with climate and environmental challenges, without the prices being unnecessarily high for the benefit of society, consumers and companies? We are currently looking for a new student in the Water Sector Authority. About the job To help us make correct and clear decisions about the financial framework of the water companies, we are looking for a law student with skills and interest in administrative law and legal method. As a law student, you will: Assist the centre's lawyers with legal case processing and advice for water companies, accountants etc. Prepare drafts of legal notes and contribute to regulatory work In collaboration with the center's other students, you will have good opportunities to learn about economic regulation of monopolies (water companies) and administration and the exercise of authority in practice. The way of working is largely characterized by collaboration, and there are good opportunities for ongoing sparring, so that you get into the work quickly. What do we expect from you? If you can nod in recognition to the following, you are a good match for the position: You are a professionally strong student of law. or stud.merc.jur with knowledge of administrative law You are curious and want to work in a professionally strong environment at the crossroads between law and economics You are thorough and aware of responsibility and have good collaboration skills In addition, it would be an advantage if you have an interest in the supply sector. Become part of Center for Water You will become part of a center that consists of approx. 25 colleagues, including four students. We make decisions about water companies' financial framework, contribute to regulatory work in the area and prepare financial analyzes and articles. Our tasks have both a political and commercial focus, and the work therefore takes place in close dialogue with both the sector and other authorities. Our everyday life is characterized by a focus on results at a high professional level and a great deal of commitment. The tone is informal and we attach great importance to a good mood and a strong team spirit. You will be employed as a student in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK. In addition, our students are also included in the centre's performance pay scheme. The working hours are expected to be between 15-20 hours per week and will be agreed upon employment. Of course, exam periods and holidays are taken into account when your working hours are organised. As a law student, you will report to the legal team leader.
