Category manager for Fruit and Vegetables

We are looking for a category manager for Fruit & Greens, with domicile in Vejle, who can drive category development for Dagrofa's grocery chains MENU, SPAR, Min Købmand and Letkøb based on the vision of being first with the food of the future. At the same time, we have close cooperation with important customers in Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
 
Do you want to help develop Fruit & Greens in Dagrofa?
In the category, we have a strong focus on i.a. innovation, negotiations, procurement and anchoring power. The category manager is responsible for ensuring the strategic and commercial development and the managerial responsibility of his own team and plays an important role in developing the category function as a whole.
What are your primary tasks?

Develop and translate category strategies into executable category plans and result-generating activities and ensure realization of goals and achievement of budgets within own categories.
Ensure daily operations, purchasing, supplier contact, daily disposition of selected categories and that we have a seasonal assortment of goods from Denmark, Europe and overseas products every day.
Drive effective range development by identifying new market opportunities and products.
Carry out ongoing negotiations with your own suppliers and manufacturers in collaboration with your team.
Execute campaigns, launch plans and marketing activities in collaboration with chains, campaign department and suppliers.
Ensure stakeholder management with a high level of information within the category area.

You probably come with a background as category manager, junior category manager, product manager, strategic buyer, key account manager or similar. You are commercially driven and possess the professional clout and personal impact required to develop market share through category management, innovation and conceptualisation. You are motivated by identifying new opportunities and have a great drive to make things succeed. At the same time, you understand that results are created in interaction with colleagues across the organization, with you as the commercial focal point and the primary driving force.
 
You take responsibility and are curious
To be successful in the job as category manager, it is important that you take responsibility for your own tasks, are innovative, innovative and challenge the status quo. If you have experience from a similar role, preferably with knowledge of Fruit & Vegetables, it is an advantage, but not a requirement.
