Job Description

For our secretariat in the heart of Frederiksberg, we are looking for a person to handle the secretariat function in collaboration with the board. 
You are proactive, independent and an eminent communicator with a smile in both pen and voice. You are well-grounded in language and able to embrace and prioritize many different types of tasks during a working day. You will be our face on the outside and the one who makes everyday life work together in a small association with big ambitions. You are service-minded and outgoing with an eye for detail.
Your primary tasks:
·       Staff the secretariat and answer telephone calls and other inquiries
·       Write newsletters, update website and member register
·       Manage the association's channels – Facebook and LinkedIn
·       Organise, implement and take care of events and meetings, including board meetings, general meetings, committee meetings, external events, courses, conferences, member dinners, etc.
·       Assist the board and committee throughout the year
·       Handle registrations and registrations as well as general member care
·       Book and invoice courses and dues as well as handle minor payments and purchases.
 
You have approx. 20 weekly hours you will dedicate to the Translators Association on a freelance basis and are:
·       Accommodating and service minded
·       An experienced communicator with the skills to author newsletters and write news for social and other media. You write familiarly in both Danish and English
·       Persistence and ability to keep the common thread even in stressful situations
·       Equipped with a good sense of order and detail
·       Responsible and ready to act when the situation calls for it
·       An experienced navigator in various IT systems.
 
The position is available as of 15.4.2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The 20 weekly hours are determined by agreement with the board. There will occasionally be evening work in connection with meetings. In total approx. 50 hours, which comes in addition to the 20 hours. The office is closed for the holidays in July.

The Translators' Association, the interest organization for highly trained translators and interpreters. The association works to ensure quality in translation and interpretation through representation and works actively to influence political decisions, influence the political agenda and make itself known in all contexts where it is deemed relevant. The association has its own, small course company, which offers subject-relevant courses and social events primarily for members.
