At the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, a position as medical secretary/secretary is available as of 1 May 2025 or as soon as possible.
The Department of Forensic Medicine performs requested revenue-covered authority services for the Ministry of Justice. This includes autopsies, personal examinations, forensic chemical statements and much more. The institute's tasks cover everything from routine tasks that must be carried out with great precision, systematicity and punctuality to major contingency situations that require ad hoc team effort. This makes the institute an exciting and varied workplace with competent and committed employees. 
We are looking for an experienced medical secretary/secretary who can master Danish spelling to perfection, has an eye for detail, has good IT skills and preferably knowledge of diagnostic Latin. 
We offer a workplace within an attractive and unique professional area in great development with exciting and challenging tasks and good colleagues.
You will become part of a secretarial group of a total of 5 secretaries who service the institute's Forensic Department, Forensic Chemistry Department and Forensic Anthropology Department.
The secretariat's tasks are many and varied. Therefore, we emphasize coordination and cooperation among ourselves and with the other functions at the institute, while each of us has independent work areas. 
The secretarial function provides central support for the institute's medical tasks, which are continuously developed in relation to work processes and methods. 
It is important that you enjoy working with routine tasks in a team across professional groups and have an eye for how you can contribute to stable and safe operations in a busy everyday life. 
Your typical tasks will be:

Writing statements after dictation (preferably knowledge of diagnosis-Latin)
Handling telephone and written requests from requesters
Answering telephone inquiries from relatives and other business partners
Reception and handling of samples

Your skills:

You must have an eye for detail, be systematic and punctual and comfortable with following procedures and meeting deadlines. At the same time, it is a clear advantage if you also enjoy having many balls in the air without losing sight of the overview.
You are familiar with the Microsoft Office suite, have a flair for and desire to familiarize yourself with new IT systems.
You must be able to understand, speak and write Danish and have a good grasp of Danish grammar. You must be able to write from dictation.
You are a welcoming, cooperative and helpful colleague with situational awareness. 
Your educational background can be medical secretary or other relevant education.

The position is standardized for 35 hours per week
