The Unit for Clinical Alcohol Research is looking for a project manager.
Job description
University of Southern Denmark, Department of Clinical Research offers a limited-time, full-time position as project manager. The project manager will be the day-to-day manager of the implementation and execution of the research project "15-Method in Local Psychiatry" (15-Mental), which is a research project focused on identification and action against problematic alcohol consumption among patients who are in outpatient psychiatric treatment. The project is financed by the Trygfonden.
As a project manager, you will:
Responsible for the project's daily contact with Local Psychiatry.
Be responsible for and ensure various approvals of the project (science ethics committee, RIO etc.)
Ensuring timely initiation of the various stages of the investigation, including planning, coordination, reporting and communication
Teaching the staff in Local Psychiatry in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and the elements of 15-Mental
Handle the communication of news and dissemination of research results and other teaching activities in connection with the project
Conduct interviews and other forms of data collection among staff and patients
Manage the coding lab that fidelity tests clinical interviews based on MI
Carry out coding of MI conversations, incl. formulation of feedback to practitioners

Qualifications and expectations
The applicant is expected to have at least a master's degree.
Qualified applicants must have a relevant master's degree (a master's degree in social work will be preferred, but a master's degree in nursing, medicine or psychology will also be considered). It is an essential requirement that the applicant has in-depth knowledge of treatment for alcohol addiction, including clinical experience. It is also a requirement that the applicant has documented competence in Motivational Interviewing in both theory and practice, including experience in teaching clinicians in MI. It would be an advantage if the applicant also has experience in coding conversations using the coding instrument MITI 4.
The applicant is currently expected to be and in the future to keep up-to-date with developments within research in the area of alcohol treatment. Actual research experience is desirable.
Terms of employment
Employment takes place in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Organization of Academics.
The workplace is the Department of Psychiatry, JB Winsløwsvej 18, entrance 220B, 1st floor, where the research unit is located until the Unit moves to the new OUH. A lot of meeting activity outside the house must be expected.
The position is available from 1 June 2025 and is time-limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension.
