The Red Cross asylum department is looking for a nurse for the health clinic at center Sandholm in Birkerød. 
Sandholm is a reception center for all new asylum seekers who come to Denmark.

About the work at our health clinics
As a nurse, you will be part of a strong interdisciplinary team consisting of other nurses, health nurses and associated psychologists, psychiatrists and doctors. In addition, the healthcare staff spar and collaborate with the asylum department's company responsible doctor, who monitors the overall healthcare business in the asylum department. The framework for healthcare services for asylum seekers is the Red Cross asylum department's contract with the Danish Immigration Service.
We work based on the principle of involvement and make an effort to ensure that the individual asylum seeker has access to health services as well as health promotion and disease prevention, which support the individual in taking care of their own health.
Our work is under continuous development. quality assurance of the treatment offered to the center's residents and patient safety through planning and implementation of quality development initiatives. This applies in particular to continuous focus on improvement and implementation of health professional instructions and work processes, continuous strengthening of professionalism and the professional approach in our treatment offer.
 
 
Your assignments
Overall, you must help to ensure that the health function's tasks are carried out in accordance with good professional practice and with the duties that are otherwise laid down in the legislation for health professions. Your primary task will be the medical reception of newly arrived asylum seekers. In addition, the following tasks will be included in your portfolio, albeit to varying degrees: 

Independent nursing consultations in an open clinic and scheduled interviews  
Visit for treatment
Follow-up of course
Coordination of the healthcare work around the individual resident, including collaboration with internal and external partners
Administrative tasks for bail applications to the Danish Immigration Service, etc. health treatment on e.g. hospitals 
Taking care of contact nursing tasks in relation to residents with special needs
Dissemination of knowledge to residents about the connection between living conditions, lifestyle, health and disease  

 
 
A little about you
It is a requirement that you have Danish authorization as a nurse. You would like to have a good knowledge of or be prepared to familiarize yourself with the complex health picture that characterizes the target group, including occurrences of physical and mental illness, trends and health-related challenges as a result of e.g. cultural influence, stress as a result of flight and other factors. In addition, we emphasize the following: 

Documented versatile experience as a nurse - preferably from a field with a target group characterized by a high degree of cultural diversity 
Good overview and ability to navigate everyday life with versatile tasks
You thrive on combining structure and systematicity in the performance of tasks with the ability to adapt and act on new needs
Takes responsibility and follows tasks to the door
Good collaboration skills and the ability to participate in interdisciplinary collaboration
Confident in oral and written communication in Danish due to documentation requirements and other written work internally in the organization and with external actors 
Good in English, knowledge of several languages will be an advantage
Good digital skills and preferably experience with electronic records
