Job Description

Are you a skilled coordinator with solid experience in course and education planning? Do you want to help develop and future-proof the Swedish Navy's training courses? Are you interested in becoming part of the Navy's new 4th Squadron? About us 4th Squadron is a newly formed squadron under the Naval Command. The squadron was established on 1 September 2024 and consists of three sections and the Navy's four training centres. The squadron has employees located in Frederikshavn, Copenhagen, Korsør, Karup and on Sjællands Odde. The education section, together with Wargaming, Digitization and the Simulation section, is located at Nyholm in Copenhagen in a historic setting. Your colleagues in the training section are officers, but in the long run the section will consist of both sergeants, officers and civilian employees. About the position You will be part of a newly established squadron, which contributes to the Navy's training being up-to-date, timely and effective in relation to the Navy's needs. The squadron brings together the Swedish Navy's education, courses and training, so that customer needs and supply are qualified through systematic coordination and cooperation. You will have a special role in relation to developing and optimizing the Navy's course and training administration, together with the Navy's training centres, squadrons and other recipients. Here, as overall coordinator, you will be responsible for the annual cycle, planning and prioritization based on the current training needs. As a coordinator, you work independently to develop and optimize course and education administration across the board. Likewise, one of your tasks will be coordination of national and international courses for the Navy's personnel. This requires close cooperation with the Swedish Navy's squadrons and duty stations, as well as with other partners in the group and civil society. We can offer a flexible workplace in rapid development, where there is also room for your personal and professional development. We have a strong focus on the right balance between private life and working life, which is supported by good relationships and an informal tone. We believe that tasks are best solved together. Therefore, we prioritize presence at the service location, where through dialogue and professional sparring, we find the best solutions. You will therefore be able to expect a versatile and varied everyday life, where your tasks can be solved primarily from the office in Nyholm, but also with the option of home work. About you You like to throw yourself into new learning and versatile tasks. You thrive on getting involved in both operational and development tasks, where you contribute to the process. You maintain an overview in task management with a holistic and solution-oriented approach. You can see yourself in the role of coordinator and rope holder, where the form of communication is paramount to creating success. You therefore have an appreciative and curious approach when meeting others, and can create good relationships and networks across the Norwegian Navy and other business partners. You will primarily work with operational tasks - but there is a great need to look into whether the current operational tasks create value or whether they can be optimised. It requires that you can analyze processes and understand the whole. It is desirable that you have a background with administrative education. You have good written and oral formulation skills in Danish and English, as well as experience in using IT tools and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SAP DeMars is an advantage. It is preferred that you have served at one of the Armed Forces' duty stations, but it is not a requirement. Terms of employment Employment and remuneration take place in accordance with the relevant collective agreement in force at all times. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate a supplement depending on your qualifications and experience. In addition, there is an employer-funded pension scheme. As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are covered by some special conditions. You must, among other things, could be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment process. CONTACT AND APPLICATION If you want to know more about the position, you are welcome to contact the head of the education section, Ulrik Borhaug Engstrøm on phone [phone removed]. If you have questions about salary and terms of employment, you can contact HR consultant Mia Nordbeck Carlsson at the Ministry of Defense's Personnel Board on phone [phone removed]. The application deadline is 31 March 2025. If the above has piqued your interest, see We would like your application as soon as possible. We will ask you to apply for the position via the link. You are requested to attach
te relevant documents for training etc. In the Ministry of Defence's organisation, we believe that diversity strengthens task-solving through diversity and innovative thinking. We therefore encourage all interested parties, regardless of background, to apply for the position.
