At MARTEC, we train future specialists for the maritime and industrial sector. We are an ambitious organization in development, and we work purposefully to ensure high quality in teaching and implement new technologies in our learning environment.
MARTEC is in the process of developing and building a 3D print hub that will support both teaching and innovation within additive manufacturing. Therefore, we are looking for a teacher for our mechanical engineering department who can teach classic mechanical engineering subjects and at the same time contribute to the development of our 3D printing activities.
Your role
As a teacher at MARTEC, you get an exciting and varied everyday life, where you both teach and participate in the development of teaching material and workshop facilities. Your primary teaching areas will be in areas such as:

Thermal joining (e.g. welding)
Machining (turning, milling)
Workshop technique and material understanding

In addition, you will have an active role in building our 3D print hub, where we work with new materials, production methods and digital manufacturing technologies.
When you are not teaching, you will e.g. work with:

Development of courses and teaching materials within 3D printing and additive manufacturing
Maintenance and development of equipment and facilities
Internship visit to business partners
Participation in relevant educational courses and further training

Who are you?
We are looking for a teacher with a background as machinist, industrial technician, blacksmith, ship fitter or similar, who has a strong interest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
In addition, we expect you to:

Has experience with basic mechanical engineering disciplines.
Has worked with 3D printing technologies, CAD/CAM and additive manufacturing
Motivated by teaching and imparting knowledge to committed students
Has good IT skills
Thrives in an environment where new technologies and innovation are the focus
Can work independently, but can also be part of a team with different skills
