Job Description
Costa Navarino is in Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese, in one of the most unspoiled and breathtaking landscapes in the Mediterranean. It is currently home to four 5-star deluxe hotels, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort at Navarino Dunes, W-Costa Navarino and Mandarin Oriental at Navarino Bay. W Costa Navarino, exclusively for adults and young adults over 12 years old, offers 226 stylish rooms, 2 bedroom suites and 3 bedroom villas with infinity private pools, staged in the Bay of Navarino with stunning Ionian Sea views, The Watersports Center, The Away Spa and gym with a heated 25m-long lap pool, including the new Navarino Agora, an open marketplace with retail, street food, open-air cinema and exciting programming throughout the day and night.
The award-winning The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino are seeking for Bar Team Leaders to support the Bar Manager in all aspects of the Food and Beverage and each Outlet’s operation. A Bar Team Leader must be able to organize and proactively prepare the outlet. Must have excellent knowledge of all products offered and of the SOPs to ensure seamless operation, check and monitor par stock levels and be able to assist when needed in all aspects of administration responsibilities. Functioning as the main link on passing on the vision to all team members and must ensure that the team efforts are aligned to offer impeccable services throughout the outlet operation.
Responsibilities
Organize daily outlet operations in a timely manner and according to brand standards. Ensure all equipment is operable and in working condition.
Excellent knowledge of menu, beverage, and snack items as well as all beverage recipes and classic / signature cocktails.
Greet and welcome guests in a courteous manner, take orders and serve with accuracy, demonstrate upselling knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of brand standards, and SOP procedures, ensuring that they are constantly followed. Assist at all times and locations, to ensure a flawless operation.
Responsible for the overall supervision of all associates, as per brand standards, maintaining a positive attitude, mentoring and ensuring their development.
Organize, monitor and check unit stock and ensure effective ordering through MC.
Handle and solve efficiently guest complaints, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.
Assist and manage when needed in all administrational organization (weekly schedules / HR needs / Financial Management) and operational needs throughout the department.
Follow all H&S rules, hotel policies, SOPs and Brand Standards at all times. Guide and encourage team to do the same.
Attend all trainings and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position (ideally in an international hotel chain)
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality / Tourism management / Relevant Certification is highly desired
Fluent in English and Greek
Technical bar knowledge (recipes, equipment)
Good knowledge of MICROS, POS and PC systems
H&S, Brand Standards and Company procedures knowledge is highly desirable
Excellent Communication skills, Customer service skills, as well as selling and upselling skills
Good people management skills
Planning, organizing and time management skills
Ability to lead by example
