Laboratory worker - development of food ingredients

Foodjob Nordic is now looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to become part of AKV AmbA at Vodskov. As a Laboratory Technician, your primary task will be to carry out experiments in connection with the development of new types of modified starches for use in food products. You will work independently in the laboratory, but work closely with the development team, reporting directly to the Senior R&D Specialist.

Areas of responsibility and goals:
We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant with a hands-on approach who thrives on practical laboratory work, analytical tasks and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will have a central role in the development work, and have close cooperation with colleagues at AKV FoodLab in Aarhus, who optimize the use of the modified starches for products in the global food industry. As a Laboratory Assistant in AKV's R&D team, your primary tasks will be:

Carry out practical experiments in connection with the development of new types of starches with specific functional properties in various food applications
Perform analyzes such as titration, NIR (Near Infrared Spectroscopy) and viscosity measurements that challenge your analytical skills.
Work actively in the laboratory with tests, measurements and evaluation of experimental results.
Document and analyze test results in collaboration with the team.
Maintain and clean laboratory and process equipment.
Contribute to procurement tasks for the laboratory where necessary.
Contact suppliers and identify needs for new raw materials.
Ensure a good handover of tasks to colleagues in the form of reports and documentation

The right candidate is an independent and quality-conscious laboratory assistant who thrives on varied tasks in an often busy everyday life, which includes routine analyzes as well as more project-oriented tasks. It is therefore a job with several different tasks and contact across the organization, and close cooperation with the company's other employees, especially in the quality area. The desired qualifications for the position are:

Trained laboratory assistant, preferably with experience from the food industry. Experience in powder production and process industry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Ability to work systematically and independently in the laboratory.
Analytical strong and able to handle complex analyses.
Detail-oriented and has a focus on documentation
Good collaboration skills and the ability to spar with colleagues in a constructive way.
Socially strong and persistent, with the ability to challenge the team in the right way.
IT is a natural part of everyday life, so IT skills at user level are a prerequisite.
Fluent in Danish, both written and spoken, and can read and understand English.

The position is based in Langholt near Vodskov, where production and the laboratory are located. There will be meetings and projects together with colleagues at AKV FoodLab in Aarhus, expected 2-3 times a month.
