OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES
AND
DUTIES
It monitors and ensures the smooth operation of the electromechanical (H/M) equipment of building facilities through the building energy management systems (BEMS), the various supervisory systems (SCADA) and on-site controls.
Performs periodic checks, preventive and repair maintenance and technical support work on E/M equipment, supervises and ensures the correct execution of corresponding work by external workshops, following the maintenance plans and instructions of hierarchical superiors, while observing the safety and quality rules that govern his work. He works closely with the other members of the team for the general execution of technical tasks on campus.
Responds in a timely manner to malfunctions and failures of IT systems and related trouble calls from facility users, respectively informing the involved teams for follow-up and any additional actions.
Maintains and updates the as-built drawings, maintenance books, records of malfunctions and changes in E/M equipment settings, ensuring proper cooperation, updating and communication with the other members of the team, as well as warehouse records (e.g. tools, spare parts, consumables, etc.) ensuring a sufficient stock of materials for the efficient work of the technical team.
He participates in projects of renovations, modifications, constructions of E/M infrastructures and related technical works requested by his superiors according to the requirements and according to the guidance of his hierarchical superiors.
Seeks, evaluates and identifies areas of personal and team improvement, submits relevant proposals to Supervisors for pre-pastoral and team training and development.
He takes care of the tidiness and cleanliness of the IT areas (engine rooms, pumping stations, etc.) and the areas of responsibility of the technical team (e.g. offices, warehouses).
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
Degree in Electrical Engineering (TEI, EPAL or Technical High School)
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry and/or IT maintenance of commercial and/or industrial buildings is required.
Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
Basic knowledge of computer use and English language.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Hard-working, team-oriented, able to motivate the team to achieve the organization's goals through individual and team contribution.
Emphasis on safety, quality, organization, schedule implementation, with particular attention to detail.
