We are looking for a system mechanic SHK (m/f/d) for our department Z4 “Construction & Operation” as soon as possible for the area Z4.3, responsible for the complete gas, water and wastewater technology (GWA), plumbing as well as heating and steam. We, the Paul Ehrlich Institute, are a federal scientific institution that is responsible for testing and approving vaccines and biomedical drugs and conducts research in the field of life sciences. The Z4 department, with around 35 employees, is responsible for operating the highly complex building technology, some of which is available 24/7. The subject area Z4.3, in which the position is advertised, is responsible for ensuring the function of the supply technology systems such as heating, special gases, steam, water treatment, wastewater systems, etc. as well as for the operational management and maintenance of the machines. The institute's entire property covers approximately 88,000 m² in 11 buildings with laboratories and animal husbandry facilities up to security and protection level S3 as well as offices and technical areas. Your tasks Operation, maintenance, inspection and repair of the high-quality systems for the supply and disposal of the institute Coordination, instruction, support and cooperation with external companies as well as control and acceptance of their services Independent processing of workshop orders, including material management for the GWA area via database software Operation of controls for process engineering systems, including error location, evaluation and elimination of error messages from the systems mentioned Our requirements Completed Vocational training as a plant mechanic (m/f/d) in the SHK sector or comparable training Professional experience in the operation and maintenance of heating and sanitary systems Ideally, initial experience with process engineering systems (VE system, steam system, wastewater neutralization) Experience in welding processes is advantageous Knowledge of the most important legal principles such as the BetrSichV and TrinkwV and important DIN standards Willingness to participate in the on-call service Safe use of the Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word and Excel Reliability and flexibility as well as physical resilience Our offer is a versatile and demanding workplace centrally in the Rhine-Main area with good connections to the public transport network (motorway, airport, S-Bahn).
