Job Description
Financial manager with personnel management is wanted for Museum Sønderjylland's financial unit
Do you have experience with personnel management and management of a finance function? And are you good at sparring with the other management regarding the development of financial management? Then you might be the new finance manager for Museum Sønderjylland's finance unit.
Museum Sønderjylland is an independent institution and one of Denmark's largest cultural history museums. Our individual museums are spread over the whole of South Jutland. In the recently completed museum reform, the museum is categorized as a category 5 museum. The organization spans many units, which is also reflected in financial management.
The finance unit is organized under the museum's department for Finance & Operations and the finance manager reports to the museum's head of administration. The financial unit handles all tasks regarding the museum's finances and assists the museum's other staff with sparring in questions regarding economy.
We need a visible finance manager for the museum's finance unit, who can assist the museum's management group in solving complex issues in relation to the museum's finances and accounting status. As finance manager, you will be responsible for the museum's accounts and preparing the museum's budget in collaboration with the museum's management team. You are also the personnel manager for the employees in the finance unit, which consists of 2 finance employees in addition to you.
Your main tasks will be:
Responsible for preparing the museum's accounts
Responsible for preparing the museum's budget together with the museum's management team.
Financial follow-up with the museum's management group, unit managers and project managers for the museum's projects
Contact with audit, Haderslev Municipality, bank, Palaces and Culture Agency etc.
Management of the museum's cash and cash equivalents
Personnel manager for the finance unit, including holding MUS interviews
Process optimization and digitization - Streamline workflows and ensure streamlined and digital financial management
We expect you to:
Has a relevant education in economics and has several years of documented experience with financial management
Has experience in both personnel management and professional management, and is an empathetic, listening and active leader who supports a good collaborative culture in the organisation.
Has good communication skills and can convey complex accounting contexts
Good relational skills that can contribute to the cohesion of an organization with many professional groups distributed over many locations
If you have experience in running state-supported cultural institutions and financing from municipalities and foundations, it will be an advantage

About the job:
Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
Employment is conditional on an acceptable criminal record.
Place of employment: Haderslev, but travel to the museum's other departments etc. must be expected.

Museum Sønderjylland is a state-recognised museum with responsibility for art, cultural history and natural history in the municipalities of Haderslev, Sønderborg, Tønder and Aabenraa. Museum Sønderjylland's archaeological area of responsibility covers the municipalities of Sønderborg, Tønder, Aabenraa, Haderslev and Kolding.
Museum Sønderjylland is a unitary organization where task solving requires the ability and willingness to collaborate across departments and units.
