Leading physician for the Neonatal Department at Slagelse Hospital
Do you want to help develop neonatology in Region Zealand? We are looking for a senior physician for the Neonatal Department in the Children and Adolescent Department at Slagelse Hospital. The department is characterized by high professionalism, strong interdisciplinary cooperation and psychological security.

In terms of management, we work as a framework and facilitator – to support the employees' professional commitment and development. As a senior physician, you will be part of a strong management team with e.g. the head doctor, the head nurse, the head nurse for the ward and the other leading head doctors in the department.
As a senior physician with us, you will enter a unique working environment characterized by cooperation, professionalism and psychological security. You will be responsible for the professional and personnel management of neonatology and ensure that the Neonatal Unit meets high standards for the treatment and care of sick newborns and premature children.

Your tasks as a senior physician

Management of the department, including operational management, professional management, strategic management and personnel management
Ensure high quality in neonatal care through quality improvement and competence development
Contribute to medical and interdisciplinary collaboration at hospital level, e.g. in relation to the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department
Participate in the department's clinical work and become part of the rear guard team for the entire Children and Young People's Department and/or participate in the planned regional neonatal on-call emergency response
Develop the learning and simulation environment in collaboration with the department's nurses and doctors

Possibility of participation in research projects and further development of the department's research environment.

About the Neonatal Department and Næstved, Slagelse and Ringsted Hospitals
Næstved, Slagelse and Ringsted Hospitals are part of Region Zealand, and at Slagelse Hospital we have a regional function within neonatology and a close collaboration with the Rigshospitalet and the other neonatal departments in Region Zealand. The Children and Young People's Department has 14,000 outpatient contacts annually, of which a third are telephone or virtual. There are approximately 5,000 contacts in the Children's Emergency Department each year and around 2,000 admissions to the Children and Youth Department. The neonatal section and has:

9 intensive beds and approx. 400 admissions annually
A strong learning environment with simulation
training, teaching and research participation
An interdisciplinary team of experienced nurses and doctors, including 12 specialist doctors, one neonatologist as well as main training doctors and wardens.
