Then maybe you are the one we are looking for as a new employee for Outdoor Areas and Waterways at Properties and Outdoor Areas in Rebild Municipality. We are looking for an employee who can and wants to work within watercourse maintenance and nature care, as well as take care of other tasks within green care. About us Properties and Outdoor Areas is a new unit in Rebild Municipality and consists of approx. 100 employees divided into several teams. We take care of tasks such as maintenance of green areas, road and winter service, service tasks at our schools and institutions, as well as other municipal buildings. In addition, the department consists of our machine shop and carpentry department. The team you will be associated with is Outdoor Areas and Watercourses, where the core tasks are the care of the municipality's green areas and nature areas, as well as watercourse maintenance. In Rebild Municipality, we have 350 km of watercourses, where Outdoor Areas and Watercourses take care of the approx. 80 km with the highest natural value. Your core tasks In daily life, you will work closely with the other rivermen. Work is primarily done in teams of two. The job includes varied and physically demanding tasks within crop cutting in streams, nature care, fence work and maintenance of audience facilities. During the summer, we are focused on sustainable watercourse maintenance to ensure a high natural value. Most of the time screed is used to ensure a good working environment and to take care of the watercourses gently. Our expectations of you It would be an advantage if you have practical experience with crop cutting and watercourse care It would also be an advantage if you can drive smaller construction machines Can work independently, takes initiative, is flexible, has a good overview and good collaboration skills Has a positive approach to colleagues, the tasks, as well as to landowners and citizens you meet on your way Uses IT as a natural part of the work. Knowledge of working with maps and GIS will be an advantage Can participate in varying physically demanding work tasks Has a driver's license for a passenger car, and possibly trailer It will be preferable if you have taken the training for Åmand, or parts of it, or have an educational background as a Forest and Nature Technician or documented equivalent experience. We offer a strong stream team consisting of 7 other experienced and skilled åmands. There is the possibility of further training and courses. We have an informal tone of communication and treat each other with respect. Practical information The position is for 37 hours and is limited to the period from 1 May 2025 to 31 October 2025.
