Educational manager for Slangerup School's Byvang department

Responsibilities and tasks At Slangerup Skole, we focus on ensuring a good learning and working environment and developing our talented employees. We are looking for a leader who has courage in an everyday life with many different tasks. You must drive the educational development at Slangerup Skole in close cooperation with the rest of the management team. Your closest partner will be the other educational manager at Byvang department. Typically, the management task is shared with your management partner at department Byvang, so you will be responsible for 2.-6. year. There is also a close collaboration with the educational manager with the same management responsibility at department Lindegård. In everyday life there are tasks with special educational efforts that must be supported in the school's inclusive and motivating learning communities. Here it is your responsibility to see possibilities and solutions in complex educational tasks. This requires that you have an eye for what is needed for the individual child, the class or for teachers and pedagogues. As a pedagogical leader, you are part of a transversal management team which, in addition to you, consists of a school leader, an administrative manager and four other educational leaders. You will become part of a team and engage in close collaboration with a focus on joint planning, development and sparring both professionally and managerially. It is therefore essential that you are a team player. Who are you? You approach your job with great professional insight and an appropriate dose of humour. You are professional, outgoing and able to maintain open and outgoing communication with an appreciative and inclusive educational approach to all children and adults. As an educational leader, you bring your strengths into play, and your structured way of working means that you are persistent and follow your tasks to the letter. You are honest about if you need help. You have strong relational skills and you are good at recognizing colleagues and employees when you can celebrate a success together. You are a patient person and keep calm in stressful situations. You are a trained teacher and have solid practical experience in teaching. We would like you to have experience with - or have been trained in - inclusion, special education and AKT/LKT. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you come with management experience. If you do not already have a management training course, you must be prepared to take a training course in educational management. Slangerup is a small, cozy urban community, where there is good connection and support to the school and where there is also good connection to association life, and where there is lovely surrounding nature. Department Byvang has students from grades 0-6. class, a total of approx. 250 pupils, and there are good space conditions indoors as well as outdoors in both after-school and school. Byvang has a sister department, Lindegård, which also has students from grades 0-6. class, and the upper secondary students are gathered in department Kingo.
