Construction Engineer- Supervisor
Position Summary:
The supervision of works is carried out for each project and aims to control the progress of the entire process of implementation of the works, in accordance with the project, the technical conditions of design and implementation, as well as the destination of the object, taking into account its economic side. The supervisor, in addition to the control services for the implementation of the works, also follows the schedule of the works. Checks periodically and at the most important stages, the site book and is responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of the documents reflected in it.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Verifies all relevant documentation, licenses, authorizations and permits, which, according to the provisions in force, must be obtained before starting the works;
Verifies the construction site, if it is free and ready to start work;
Knows in detail the business contract and all administrative acts related to it, as well as knows all possible changes to this contract over time;
Draws up the act of handing over the construction site to the entrepreneurial company;
Draws up the act of delivery by the entrepreneur of technical and administrative documentation, such as licenses, authorizations and permits obtained by the entrepreneur;
During the implementation of the object, he gives written instructions and orders to the entrepreneur whenever he deems it necessary, in accordance with the legal and by-laws, and the latter is obliged to respect them, but maintaining the right to make his observations in writing to the investor, about the instructions and orders of the works supervisor;
Approves all construction materials used in the work;
It requires the performance of tests of the construction materials placed in the object, when these have not been performed to the extent according to the realized volumes and part of the raw material supplied, to verify the quality;
Temporarily suspends works for incorrect technical implementation or technical implementation incapacity, in any case with the approval of the Manager of the Technical Supervision Unit, for as long as it is considered necessary to correct the situation;
Controls the implementation of the detailed schedule of construction works and reports to the Manager of the Technical Supervision Unit on its implementation. No work shall be covered, masked or concreted without the approval of the construction supervisor;
Participates in the approval of the work, responds to the approval officer with all the necessary documentation for the approval of the work, as well as signs the minutes of this approval
Controls and approves the situations presented by the entrepreneur, in the various phases of the construction works. Payment can only be made based on this approval;
After the completion of the approval based on the contract and other documentation, determines the final value of the construction works of the object, which is made known to the entrepreneur and given to the investor for liquidation;
Assists in project development and evaluation to determine if it is feasible and worth undertaking;
Provides technical consultancy on certain aspects of project management that are beyond the scope of the Project Manager's knowledge;
Assists in the performance of technical opposition in the delivery of each phase of the design;
Periodically reports to the Manager of the Technical Supervision Unit.
Education:
Possess a university degree in Civil Engineering
Other qualifications:
Not less than 10 years of experience in implementing works;
5 years experience in works supervision;
Ability to suggest solutions and make decisions;
Critical ability on design details expressed on the functional and aesthetic side;
Ability to coordinate work in relevant projects;
Very good communication skills to work in a team;
Management, coordination, organizational skills;
Very good knowledge of English, other foreign languages ​​would be an advantage;

Knowledge of computer programs, Office packages, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, knowledge of the Revit program is an advantage.
