Job Description

Juliane Marie Center We are looking for a doctor for a project dealing with Klinefelter syndrome starting on 1 May 2025. The appointment is for one year with a good possibility of extension. Applicants with a desire for a PhD course at the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Copenhagen, are preferred. About the position: You will be part of the team of junior researchers and senior researchers in the department and will be associated with the department's projects dealing with patients with Klinefelter syndrome. This includes a prospective study of both boys and men with Klinefelter syndrome who are followed in our outpatient clinic. You will be responsible for creating a database in REDCap as well as informing, including and investigating participants. You will also be assigned to a randomized, placebo-controlled project, which aims to evaluate the effect of testosterone treatment during puberty in boys with Klinefelter syndrome. Here you have to help organize visits, investigate participants and follow up on visits. As this is a national project, there will also be visits to the other sites at the children's wards in Aarhus, Aalborg and Odense. The position will provide a broad insight into clinical research, including drug trials. As a junior doctor in the department, you become part of a duty team that during the day carries out hormone stimulation tests and informs patients in the sperm bank. Who are we looking for?: We are looking for a committed and motivated doctor with an interest in paediatrics and endocrinology who wants to work with both children and adults. We expect you to be curious and results-oriented and able to work independently and with a sense of responsibility. We expect you to have good collaboration skills across professional groups as well as good communication skills - including especially communication with children and their families. Experience with research in the form of database management, basic statistics and article writing will be a plus, but is not a requirement. About the Department of Growth and Reproduction: The Department of Growth and Reproduction is a highly specialized research department with extensive research activity, where a bridge is built between basic research and the patient in the outpatient clinic. The department has a large group of younger researchers and senior researchers with different backgrounds, which provides unique opportunities for mutual sparring and inspiration. In the ambulatory in the Department of Growth and Reproduction, examination and treatment of children, young people and men with endocrine and andrological diseases is carried out at a highly specialized level. There is a good opportunity to be part of the clinical everyday life in the department for teaching and clinical conferences. Read more about the department at [link removed] If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact senior physician Lise Aksglæde on [phone removed] or [email protected]. Employment Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The Juliane Marie Centre, Rigshospitalet, is covered by the order on obtaining a child certificate. It is therefore a prerequisite for employment that the child's certificate is blank. A child certificate is obtained from the National Police, with the consent of the applicant. Interested parties regardless of age, gender, religion and ethnic affiliation are encouraged to apply for the position. Rigshospitalet is a smoke-free workplace and part of the Capital Region. Interviews are expected at the end of April 2025. Deadline for applications: 3 April 2025. Apply for the position via the link on the page.
