Dementia center Pilehuset is looking for skilled social and health workers, social and health assistants, occupational therapists, nurses, pedagogues, educational assistants or similar, who are good at reading, empathizing with and meeting other people's needs and feelings. We are looking for new colleagues who want to make a difference and who can bring out the best in themselves and others.
About us
The dementia center Pilehuset is a specialized offer for citizens with dementia. There are 122 citizens and approx. 200 employees in the house. In our house, we employ interdisciplinary staff in our six departments. Our experience tells us that interdisciplinarity is an important prerequisite for providing the best possible care and concern for people who have dementia.
Our departments are divided into six of these units

dementia unit for citizens with Alzheimer's and vascular dementia
unit with temporary relief and assessment sites
special unit for citizens with Huntington's disease
special unit for citizens with frontotemporal dementia
special unit for citizens with acquired brain damage
day service for citizens with dementia who live in their own home

We are a house with high ceilings and room for creative expression. We see opportunities in our citizens. Our most important task is that citizens experience well-being, and this is the way we develop professionally.
We give high priority to mono- and interdisciplinary meetings. We raise our professional quality by continuously applying DCM – a person-centred method. Once a year we go on theme days with an overnight stay. We hold internal themed days with professional content six times a year. Each department holds joint meeting every six weeks.
The many good results are created on a daily basis by a skilled and committed interdisciplinary staff consisting of nurses, pedagogues, occupational therapists, social and health assistants and social and health assistants, who in cooperation with the affected citizens and their relatives make a huge effort. As an employee in the house, you must participate in interdisciplinary team days, so that cooperation with the other employees/guards can be coordinated.
As an employee in the house, you must help to ensure that

the individual citizen experiences quality of life - i.a. through a healthcare focus on the citizen's general condition
the citizen's basic psychological and physical needs are met (in accordance with Tom Kitwood's theory of person-centred care)
the framework and surroundings support the citizen so that functions are preserved and perhaps even strengthened
the focus is on health promotion and preventive measures based on the Copenhagen Municipality's elderly and dementia policy, quality standards and the Effort Catalog for nursing care

As part of the interdisciplinary team, you are involved in the work around the citizens in everything from activities and meals to personal care. We expect you to contribute with your monodisciplinary perspective on the citizens and pay close attention to their health condition.
Special occupational therapist tasks are 

assessment of citizens' needs for maintenance training
rehabilitation
aids
screening of citizens upon moving in

Special therapeutic tasks are 

screenings within i.a. dysphagia
ADL
sensory deprivation etc.
handling of the aid area
action plans for maintenance activities

Special healthcare tasks are

medication management
health assessments of citizens
contact with doctors
nutritional screenings

Personal care is part of our core mission.
We expect you

have a relevant healthcare or educational background, e.g. as a social and health worker, social and health assistant, occupational therapist, nurse, pedagogue, educational assistant or similar
has a robust and stable personality
is good at reading, empathizing with and accommodating other people's needs and feelings
ability to create calm and safety around you
can bring out the best in yourself and others
appreciates interdisciplinary work and can contribute positively to collaboration
is professionally curious and willing to constantly learn new things and develop yourself

We are always looking for the best candidates, so if you have experience and knowledge in the field, but not a documented education, we would still like to hear from you.
Terms of employment
Salary and terms of employment are set according to qualifications and applicable collective agreement between the municipality and the relevant professional organisation. 
The positions are basically 37 hours per week in day shift with work every other weekend. These are both permanent positions
and temporaries.
We want the positions filled as soon as possible.
The workplace is Bystævneparken in Brønshøj.
