Job Description
A permanent full-time position as technical conservator/preparator at the Department of Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Odense is available to fill as soon as possible.
The tasks in the position include:
Plastination of anatomical preparations and development of new methods within this area.
Production of anatomical preparations for use in the teaching of medical and clinical biomechanics students and other students within health education, as well as in courses for fully qualified doctors.
Storage of preparations and material in connection with teaching and exams.
Responsibility for organization and maintenance of preparations and storage facilities.
Inspection of equipment, etc. in the department's teaching rooms.
Routine maintenance and repair work of equipment as well as other practical tasks such as cleaning equipment used in teaching and exams (heavy lifting may occur).
Assist in the handling of donors and cooperation with undertakers.
As an applicant for the position, you have:
A background as a laboratory assistant, technician or craftsman who wants to work in a university environment, where teaching the structure and function of the human body is central.
Knowledge of handling flammable liquids and working with pump systems.
Ability to navigate the requirements of confidentiality, ethics and respect, responsibility, consideration and diligence.
Willingness to continuously develop yourself and be trained in the department's diverse work areas
Ability to be in close collaboration and dialogue with lecturers and students - as well as with other employees in and outside the department.
Ability to work and plan independently and maintain an overview with many simultaneous tasks
To a limited extent, there may exceptionally be a need to work on weekends and public holidays.

Employment takes place in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant professional organization in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.
