Pastry Chef | Santorini On-site Fira, Southern Aegean, Greece Empiria Group is hiring for its properties in Santorini PASTRY CHEF Our Story Empiria Group , owns, manages, and operates a unique collection of luxury hotels and villas, members of The Luxury Collection and Design Hotels of Marriott International , located in prime destinations around Greece, namely in Santorini, Paros and Peloponnese. Role Overview The Pastry Chef ensures consistency in the quality of all pastries and desserts, while also keeping up with industry trends to deliver innovative and high-quality products for hotel guests. Key duties and responsibilities Managing daily pastry kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow Ensuring consistency and high standards in the quality and presentation of all desserts and baked goods Overseeing inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper storage of ingredients Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards in the pastry kitchen Managing food costs, ensuring cost-effective practices without compromising quality Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service Monitoring production schedules to ensure timely availability of pastries and desserts Continuously evaluating and improving pastry offerings based on guest feedback and industry trends Requirements 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, particularly in hotels or fine dining establishments Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts Good organizational and time management skills Very good knowledge of English language Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Strong team player & result-oriented Benefits Staff accommodation with Wi-Fi access & A/C Half board (Breakfast & Lunch) Ongoing training Great opportunities for professional development within the company or other hotel members of Marriott International.
