Senior Machine Learning Specialist

As a Senior ML specialist, you will be part of the AI ​​unit, which since 2020 has developed e.g. recommender systems, editorial tools based on generative AI and systems that produce metadata about text, images, sound and video. It all happens in close collaboration with the respective media and with the other teams in Digital Development and Technology in JP/Politikens Hus
About the role
We are looking for an experienced ML specialist for a senior/lead role, where you e.g. must drive the professional community among our ML specialists. You will have an important role in ensuring continuous development and improvement of our MLOps platform in collaboration with our ML engineers. The platform is used for training, production setup and monitoring of our models and is an important part of our infrastructure.
In addition, from the start you will work with the development and implementation of NLP models, including models for embeddings, tagging, sentiment analysis and taxonomy classification. You will have a leading role in the daily development practice and will be expected to take responsibility for more than the things you produce yourself.

Your primary areas of responsibility:

Be a sparring partner and ensure knowledge sharing between you and your colleagues with different ML specialties.
Ensure ongoing development and optimization of our MLOps setup.
Develop and implement ML models in several areas.
Collaborate closely with our Tech lead and other ML Engineers to translate complex issues into practical solutions.

We expect you to:

Has solid experience with development and implementation of ML models and is used to working with the entire ML process from A-Z.
Proficient in Python and has experience with ML frameworks and data management tools (e.g. Pandas or Polars).
Has an analytical approach and the ability to translate complex issues into innovative solutions.
Is a natural sparring partner who is passionate about sharing your knowledge and running the professional community.
